I found http://linuxlock.blogspot.com/2008/12/linux-stop-holding-our-kids-back.html to be slightly disturbing and shows the state of Linux's uphill battle against common misconceptions. Truly sad that those we trust to teach our children can be so ignorant and out-of-touch. I mean, Linux has only been around since 1991, and Free Software from GNU has been around since 1984...24 years of Free Software (some label it Open Source as well), yet there are people whom have no idea it even exists, or have heard of it, but only in half-truths and hearsay.
